About Health Education and Development (HEAD) Foundation.

The Health, Education and Development Foundation (HEAD) had its genesis in an old school-boys reunion. Seven alumni of the Don Bosco High School, Mumbai decided to harness their childhood bonding, individual talents and capabilities to serve a larger purpose.

From the beginning the focus was on Education, with the clear belief that nothing else will empower people better. Along the way, it became clear that Education in India cannot be treated in isolation, as poverty and deprivation creates other very real hurdles.

It was clear that any intervention would have to include Health & Developmental activities, as well.

The Trustees of HEAD have vast experience at the highest levels in the industry. They possess expertise in Finance, Human Resources, Marketing of Technology, Advertising & Public Relations and Small & Medium industry.

What does this mean in practice?

  • A fair study of the individual institution with its positives and negatives.

  • Working in close co-operation with the existing management to provide quality and meaningful education.

  • Identifying the areas for intervention and improvement with the existing management.

  • Creating and providing motivational programs/workshops for the existing teachers & administrative Staff to enlist their enthusiastic participation in the transformation and development.

  • Handholding and pushing the interventions on health consistently over the period required to effect transformation.

  • Record, systematize and create a model of the process to the extent it is easily reproducible with minimum modifications in other educational institutions.
