At the start of the Covid Pandemic in March 2020, HEAD sprang into action at a time when hospitals and special medical units were just being set up, with little understanding of the virus we were fighting, and ever-present fear and a spate of rising death numbers.
The first institutions we helped were the Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital at Sion, Mumbai, with Personal Protection Equipment Kits, Gloves etc which were in short supply, even for front-line Health Workers.
We were also in touch with Dr. Rajani Jagtap, CMO at the Veer Savarkar Municipal Hospital at Mulund.
On her request, HEAD quickly donated 2 ECG machines and other consumables, needed to set up its Emergency Covid Care Unit.
On 20th April, 2022 HEAD, represented by our Trustees Seshan Ranganathan & A.R.Subramaniam, attended a felicitation program at the hospital, where we were presented a Certificate by Dr. Pramod Pashte, CMO, in recognition of our contribution to the fight against Covid.
